Caramelised onion relish

Makes 1 small jar

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes

Ingredients
3 sweet white onions, chopped 
1 tbsp melted butter 
1 tbsp olive oil 
1 tbsp soft brown sugar 
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar 
Salt

Method
Put the butter and oil into a large pan and add the onions. Sprinkle a tsp of salt over the top, stir and cook until soft - around 15 minutes. Add soft brown sugar, mix, add the balsamic and mix again. Take off of the heat and put into a bowl or jar.
