I realised today we are 10 days in and I haven’t yet had a mince pie.  At the weekend I am going to make some.  The best, best mince pies (by a country mile) is the fortnum and mason petit fours selection box.  They are literally one bite of absolute deliciousness. There are little frangipane topped ones, orange flavoured, chocolate ones and traditional ones.  They are totally gorgeous.

As I am in tier 3 I haven’t been able to get to fortnums and so have no option but to make them. At the weekend I need to pull out my finger.  I thought I would pack the mincemeat with fruit, chocolate and a LOT of booze. Well it is Christmas.
