Still basking in the warm weather so guess where we cooked today? You guessed it, in the garden over fire. We really are outside people.
There are these gorgeous Portuguese rolls, the rolls are crunchy(ish) and yet super soft and inside is peri peri steak coated in peri peri sauce and they are called pregos and are just wonderful. It works really well with a spicy sauce because the steak and rolls temper it. Tonight we put in these gorgeous onions that were thickly sliced and also cooked on the fire and oh my gosh they were incredible, especially with the spicy sauce.
The thing that makes me laugh is that I use the same ingredients every single time and yet when I make it, it always comes out differently. So odd.
