It is cold and miserable and really wet which always makes me want something warm and comforting.  Today we made a spicy barbecue beef stew which is full of smokey paprika which I love.  It cooks for hours which is so lovely as the house fills with wonderful barbecue beefy aromas.

I was tweaking a recipe and mostly was really happy with it but I really think sweetcorn would be perfect in it, it would provide those little bursts of sweetness which would really be amazing.
