It has been so nice having Matt around this weekend and I wanted to bake for him.  Part 2 of the cookie saga, I took the dough out of the fridge and it is rock hard. Really rock hard. So rock hard I had to cut the dough (a facepalm moment). They cooked fine but oh my word honestly. And so this recipe I am fighting with continues to beat me. I will now need to make AGAIN. 

So after a busy morning we decided to ditch the recipe testing and just make an old faithful, a bolognese/macaroni cheese hybrid. So make a half portion of bolognese and a macaroni cheese. Swirl them together roughly in an oven dish, top with cheesy breadcrumbs (as per the macaroni cheese recipe) and bake for 30 minutes. It is ridiculously good and really comfort food at its very best. Try it, you won’t regret it.
