It is Good Friday, the day when here we traditionally avoid meat and enjoy fish.

We made a lovely smoked salmon pate which was literally smoked salmon, cream cheese, lemon juice, pepper and horseradish.  You blitz it together (it can be course rather than smooth) and then add chopped capers. Taste for seasoning (you should not need much more salt, if any).  It is delicious on toasted bagels and takes less than 5 mins to put together.
