It is bank holiday which is always a fabulous feeling and today is cold grey and raining and so I made a cheats steak and ale pie. I have been recipe testing for my next blog and oh my word I really think I made the most perfect pie.  The pastry cooked beautifully (I used all butter pastry which makes a huge difference), the filling soft and tasty and it was just fantastic.  Watch out for my next blog coming out later in the week.
