Today would have been Mrs Sullivan’s birthday and so we had an absolutely fantastic birthday dinner in her honour.  Mrs S was known for loving chicken schnitzel and so when planning dinner Rhona and Thea had both thought we should eat schnitzel.  The food tonight was so good and I was so amazed at how quickly Thea managed to get it all done after we got home from the Vaal and showered.  She made cheesy mash, the most amazing pumpkin puree, schnitzel and veg.  We drank sweet rose wine because that is what Mrs S would have had and it all felt warm, loving and it was so nice to be a part of. The meal was finished with a peppermint crisp dom pedro and there was lots of stories and memories, family time is so special.
