So I have been flicking through Nigella's Christmas book and think I am going to have a go at making my own chutney.  I am quite particular with chutney because I really do not like raisins or sultanas in chutney (they just feel like fillers) and so buying chutney gets painful.  Anyway Nigella's date and cranberry chutney ticked a lot of boxes and so I am going to make this at the weekend. I really should have already made it as chutney improves with age. Next year I will be more on the ball.
