I came across a gorgeous looking warm potato and asparagus salad dish that I thought I’d try. I was a little dubious whether it would feel like a side dish but it was so nice and as it was filling I did not feel like I was missing out. The salad is topped with nuts, either hazelnuts or almonds and they really did make the dish, it was fabulous.

I’ve tried to stop toasting my nuts on the hob and try to use the oven, they take a little longer to cook but they toast much more evenly. I put them into a cold oven for 10 minutes so don’t feel too awful about heating the oven just for nuts.
