Tonight I was out with my lovely friends Lindsay, Tracie and Laraine, celebrating Lindsay’s birthday.  It is always lovely to see them and today was full of chatter, laughter and lots of catching up.

We decided to eat in Lindsay’s neck of the woods and went to Rendezvous, a French restaurant in Westerham. Despite trying to eat healthily I decided to go all out today and had Beef bourguignon and an apple crumble and custard (and ice cream!). I forgot ho much I love both beef bourguignon and mash. Since the weather is so awful at the moment this is a recipe I am going to start recipe testing to get my perfect version of.  The apples were extremely tart and yet the crumble extremely good.
