We were off to Nicky and Brians today and offered to take with us some homemade boerewors.  We have been threatening for a while to make our own because I just don’t love the texture of bought boerewors even though I like the taste.  It did not take us too long to get into the swing of things and I am ridiculously pleased at how they turned out.  We have some improvements and changes for next time but considering this was our first attempt, I thought it went so well.

Everybody enjoyed the boerewors and we also had a paptert (watch this space for the recipe over the next few days), a fresh gorgeous salad and braaibroodjies.  We played trivia games and had such a fabulous evening and laughed so hard.  A great evening with great friends.
