Today was a complimentary day off courtesy of the day job.  I spent the morning researching recipes and then in the afternoon went to a farm shop to get everything we needed for tomorrow to make our boerewors.  We have been threatening for a while to make them, they are usually a really course sausage and I just don’t like it, I also really dislike gristle so by making our own we can eliminate that and make them a bit smoother.  I have seen people make sausages and some of them are a complete horror show so I am really hoping we manage to not make a pigs ear of it.  We will see tomorrow.
