I was glancing through my amazon basket the other day when trying to decide what books to get myself this month and scrolled all the way to the bottom for a change and found that Nathan Outlaws Fish Cookery was the oldest thing in my basket.  To be honest I thought at the bottom was just novels so I was surprised.  I managed to pick up a copy for £5 which is even better.  It arrived today and looks pretty much untouched and brand new.  In the book was an article on Nathan Outlaw and a letter between two friends talking about a lunch they had.  It is so sweet and one of the lovely things about second hand books, these little insights which I absolutely love.
