From tomorrow the new book of the month is Padella by Tim Siadatan, a whole book on pasta, not even a pud in sight.
I really do like quick meals but they have to be full on flavour, simple doesn’t need to mean bland or boring. Tonight we made spaghetti with sad salad leaves, chilli, anchovy and garlic. This intrigued me because we often have an open bag of rocket left in the fridge and I hate wasting food. I feel slightly dim for not ever thinking of stirring it through a bowl of pasta.
It was very flavourful, very very easy and tasty. It wouldn’t go into my top 10 but I would happily remake it and eat it, it was delicious.
I can’t wait to get more stuck into this book, there are some wonderful special meals in here but also a chapter of easy dishes for the working week.
