I have Anna Jones One Pot, Pan, Planet book and it is really interesting.  I really love vegetables so it is interesting to see vegetables as so much more than a side dish and seeing different ways to use them.  I had my eye on the swede carbonara and so tonight was the night.  We needed smoked salt for it which I had never used before and it is so nice, really caramelly and smelt like fire, not like liquid smoke which has a tendency to just smell fake but like proper wood fire.  A total revelation.

As for the carbonara, as a swede lover I did really enjoy it but at the same time I am not sure I would make it again.  It was interesting but just not carbonara which I truly love.  I am really glad we tried it though.
