Since Christmas was so much fun we decided with Clare that we should spend Easter Sunday together and James and Kathryn came as well as the kids. Such a lovely afternoon.  We were going to cook but I saw on Instagram that The Garrison were doing slow cooked shoulder of lamb which sounded fabulous so we thought let's leave the cooking and washing up to the professionals.

Clare brought these lovely little chicks bunnies and carrots to decorate the table which made us all laugh and we put them into the glass bottles on the wall to really decorate everything.

We started with oysters with blood orange that were so good along with smoked haddock croquettes and freshly cooked bread with whipped butter.

Our main was the shoulder of lamb roast with roasties, roast vegetables, cauliflower cheese and yorkies and the best gravy honestly.

Then for pud we had the rhubarb frangipane with cardamom custard and the tonka bean panna cotta. Seriously the best puds we have had at the Garrison, they were just perfect.  We laughed so much and seriously had a wonderful day.
