Today started extremely sadly saying goodbye to Riaan and Thea when they left Witsand before 5am to head back to Johannesburg.  We watched the sun rise and then got ready and headed off to Heidelberg for breakfast at the best Wimpy in the whole of South Africa before filling up with petrol and heading off to Cape Town. 

Wimpy was perfect I have to say, the service was absolutely top notch, the food was wonderful fast and hot and the service impeccable.  It set us up well for the day.

We then headed off to Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franshoek where we visited the Dalewood Fromage which I have wanted to visit for ages, then we headed to Simonsig my favourite winery in SA for a wine tasting (and nibbles) before a few more stops on route to our little cottage in Franshhoek.  The cottage was perfect, beautifully decorated and located.  We spent the evening eating the cheese and bits we had bought before getting an early night.
