So today is the day my baby goes off to uni. Much of the last week has been buying things and sorting out and having a big clear out just to make sure we were ready.  This is the problem for not knowing where he would be living until a week before, it made planning anything super difficult.

The weather is dire so I am really dreading getting soaking as we go back and forwards to the car.  Talking of cars, ours is packed solidly with no room for anything at all. We ended up needing to rope in Victoria to take the rest of his stuff otherwise he would have had no clothes.  It is funny, you get all this stuff together as they need everything to survive, you make sure you have everything for every eventuality and then when you get there you realise how little room there is for it.  Thankfully I bought some plastic containers that fit under his bed so I think we are in a good place. When we arrived his little room looked a little sad but by the time we left it looked cosy and really lovely actually.

I for his shopping today and as a little home made top up I made Matt a batch of brownies. He loves all things chocolate. Ordinarily brownies take an age in my oven but they cooked so well in my Le Creuset pan it shaved about 20 minutes off of the cooking time.

By the time we got home it was late and we were so tired we ended up just having toasties; cheese and ham and cheese and tuna with a cup of tea. Simple but tasty and honestly all we could muster after days of work.

Be happy my baby and enjoy your time, I am missing you already x
