Our lovely neighbours gave us a huge amount of fresh bay leaves from their tree today.  They are so lovely, they grow a lot and often pass things our way, for which we are so grateful.  I see in lots of cookery books that people use them for milk based desserts which I have never done. Maybe with this beautiful abundance of bay leaves I finally will. 

I am suffering so badly with hay fever, my eyes and face are so swollen. The grass was cut yesterday and the only thing I can think is that it disturbed all the pollen on the grass and in the trees.  I feel so unwell. As soon as the pollen drops from the trees I will start to feel better, roll on May.
