It is Mother’s Day and what better gifts to receive than foodie gifts?  Three cookbooks off of my wish list (two by Marco Pierre White - White Heat and Great British Feast) and Darren Purchese’s Sweet Studio.  All are really lovely books, in Darren’s book every recipe has at least 6 recipes and at least 80 steps but it looks like a great challenge and something to do on a bank holiday.

I also got a cardamom plant which is absolutely beautiful and so thoughtful, I love love love cardamom and have a cardamom coffee every day.  Apparently you can use the leaves in a similar way to bay leaves so I am really looking forward to trying that.
